Elon Musk Tweets That New Cybertruck Will Have

Elon Musk took to Twitter on Friday to share another update on his much-anticipated Cybertruck. He revealed that the car would have "laser blade lights" and adjusted dimensions.

“By the way, in some prior tweets, I’d said production Cybertruck would be ~80” wide (vs ~84” body width at unveil). This is slightly too small. Will be closer to 82”, but come standard with upper laser blade lights," the Tesla CEO wrote.

Previously Musk had indicated that the width of the truck may be 80 inches to fit into garages. However, revealed the CEO, this width is too small and the final product will be closer to 82 inches.

In the truck's unveiling in Los Angeles last November 2019, the truck measured 84 inches. Meanwhile, the added standard laser blade lights are said to provide improved visibility and are bound to be aesthetically pleasing.

Musk was also asked if the new truck looks generally the same to which he replied that it is "slightly better."

The issue, however, remains as to whether you will be able to fit a Cybertruck in a garage. This is a problem Musk addressed back in December of 2019.

The CEO tweeted that they could probably reduce the truck's width by an inch and its length by 6+ inches without losing on utility or aesthetics. Hopefully, these adjustments will be enough to make the vehicle garage-compatible.

We can prob reduce width by an inch & maybe reduce length by 6+ inches without losing on utility or esthetics. Min height is below 75 inches when air suspension set to low. Will post exact number soon.
